i’d been avoiding getting my passport for years because i was scared about dealing with trans stuff, but i just went to get it at the main post office in detroit (the one on fort) and it went perfectly smoothly. the woman who helped me was extremely professional and was familiar with all the rules about getting a different gender on your passport than is on your birth certificate.
