today, i learned the difference between a page and a leaf

  • a page is one side of a leaf
  • first page is called a recto and is always an odd number
  • second page is called a verso and is always an even number

i think that’s pretty cool!  i mean, the lecture was about understanding and creating the weird complicated marc records so this had very little to do with class, but i like knowing weird stuff like this!
